 کہہ دو کہ: ’’وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں پیدا کیا، اور تمہارے لئے کان اور آنکھیں اور دِل بنائے۔ (مگر) تم لوگ شکر تھوڑا ہی کرتے ہو۔‘‘

﴿سورۃ الملک، ۲۳﴾

یہ آیت قرآنی سورۃ الملک کی آیت نمبر ۲۳ کی تشریح ہے۔ یہاں اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں کہ وہی تمہیں پیدا کرتا ہے، تمہارے لئے کان اور آنکھیں اور دل بناتا ہے، لیکن تم لوگ اس کے لئے بہت کم شکر کرتے ہو۔

یہ آیت انسانوں کو یاد دلاتی ہے کہ ان کا وجود اور ہر اچھائی جو وہ حاصل کرتے ہیں، صرف اور صرف خداوند کی مہربانی کی بنا پر ہے۔ یہ ہمیں اپنی تخلیق کی عظمت اور خداوند کے احسانوں کو سمجھانے کی تلقین کرتی ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ ہم سب سے محبت کرتے ہیں اور ہمیشہ ہماری فلاح و بقاء کی فکر کرتے ہیں، لہذا ہمیں ان کی نعمتوں کا شکر ادا کرنا چاہیے اور ان کی رحمتوں کو قدر کرنا چاہیے۔
