 Private interest business in the province is in force

Gazette notification of "The Punjab Prohibition of Interest on Private Loans Act 2022" (The Punjab Prohibition of Interest Loans Act) has been released.

No one will be able to transact for private interest throughout the

province

Those who transact private interest will be imprisoned for 10 years and fined Rs.5 lakh

After the law comes into effect, a person who has taken interest privately in the past will now return only the principal amount

Borrower will no longer have to pay additional

amount on account of interest charged in the past

A case can be registered against the person concerned for asking for additional money in the name of personal interest other than the original amount

Any citizen will be able to go to the police station and file an FIR against those doing business of private interest

پورے ملک میں کوئی بھی نجی مفاد کے لیے لین دین نہیں کر سکے گا۔

نجی سود کا لین دین کرنے والوں کو 10 سال قید اور 5 لاکھ روپے جرمانہ ہو گا۔

قانون کے نافذ ہونے کے بعد، ماضی میں نجی طور پر سود لینے والا شخص اب صرف اصل رقم واپس کرے گا۔

قرض لینے والے کو مزید ادائیگی نہیں کرنی پڑے گی۔

ماضی میں وصول کیے گئے سود کے حساب سے رقم

اصل رقم کے علاوہ ذاتی مفاد کے نام پر اضافی رقم مانگنے پر متعلقہ شخص کے خلاف مقدمہ درج کیا جا سکتا ہے۔

کوئی بھی شہری تھانے جا کر نجی مفاد کا کاروبار کرنے والوں کے خلاف ایف آئی آر درج کرا سکے گا۔
